- The first step is to plastic surgery is getting prepared for it, the plastic surgeon along with the patient will decide on the breast size that the patient wants to achieve
- The plastic surgeon along with the client will decide on the best method to achieve this, either through silicone implants or other methods.
- Before the surgery the plastic surgeon first examines the patient’s body placing surgical markers on the women’s body
- The patient is then put in surgical anesthesia by an experience anesthesiologist.
- The area where the incision is to take place by sterilized before the operation to make sure no bacteria is present and gets into the body
- Prior to the operation the plastic surgeon also provides the patient drugs to help reduce the pain and bleeding during and after the operation.
- The plastic surgeon then crates an incision to where the implant will be placed
- The silicone implant will then be fitted for symmetry so both sides of the implant look as natural as possible. A good way to decide on the skill of the plastic surgeon is by looking at the before and after photos of his patients and seeing how symmetrical the breast implants are on the patients.
- Once the implant is fitted the surgeon closes the incision with stitches
- After the stitching the patient is allowed to move into a recovery room to let the effects anesthesia wear off before they return home.
The Recovery
Usually the first 2 days after the surgery are the most challenging for the patient as the body tries to adjust to silicone that’s been inserted into the breasts. The breast will feel tender, tight, and some pain while body tries to adjust having the silicone inserted into the body, eventually the body will adjust.
